Local level event
Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Training are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Level D Event : Colour Coded to anticipate World Orienteering Day on the 19th. This event formerly know as the "Bluebell Bash" will be a good bash and we shall tiptoe round the bluebells.

Directions / Parking
The car park field is near Shalford, a 15-minute walk from the Start/Finish. Those on foot or bicycle can make their way direct to the Start, see the location map. Guildford railway station is a 1.5 mile walk away. There are closer bus stops.

Registration and Start times
Entrants select their own Start time within the 15-minute start blocks.
Please arrive at the event in your orienteering kit, and where possible travel home to change. If you arrive early at the start or are accompanying juniors to the start, please observe the rule of 6 and apply appropriate social distancing.

During your run
At the start and during your run please remember to maintain 'social' distancing. Please move promptly away from the start and each control. At control sites try to avoid touching the control, move through quickly. Above all be extremely considerate to the non-orienteering public.
Event is SIAC enabled but no SIAC hire available.
After your run
Do not congregate at the Finish. Download promptly and leave as soon as you reasonably can. Move your car out of the event part of the car park if you are staying for other activities.
Results
Results will not be on display at the event but will be published here after the event.
Refund Policy
This event is currently permitted under the BOF Covid-19 guidance. If for some reason this changes we will do our utmost to postpone to a date within the following weeks; if you inform us that you are unable to attend on that date you will get a credit for the full value you have paid against a future GO event, or you can request a refund. If we cannot hold the event on a postponed date and we have to cancel you will also get a credit for the full value you have paid against a future GO event, or you can request a refund.
