Organiser's Comments

What a great turnout! Thank you all for coming. It was lovely to see such a high turn- out, including so many juniors for a local event. The weather helped and perhaps the cake stall?

Thank you to Helen Rivers for her marvelous courses which had to adapt to the ever- growing bracken and a constrained map. We had many positive comments. I have one item of lost property, a pink and floral vacuum drink container. If it is yours then please contact me on eventorganiser@guildfordorienteers.co.uk

Thank you to all our splendid Club volunteers on the day, who rolled their sleeves up and were central to making it such a joyous occasion, and made my job so much easier! It wouldn’t have happened without you.

The lost Centurion was found by most and I hope was an added bit of fun, especially for the juniors. In addition, the maze was extremely popular amongst young and old. The maze times were as follows:

Miscellaneous

Participant Code of Conduct

I'm sure you don't need to be reminded to be courteous to other users of the area while you are competing, but all the same here is a reminder! Please make yourself aware of and abide by the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct (revised September 2022).

Covid-19
Whilst restrictions have been lifted, Covid-19 is very much still in circulation and we encourage a continued responsible approach to orienteering events. People have different risk tolerances and we like to be mindful of, and to respect, others' personal choices as normality returns. Please do not attend if you or a member of your household has Covid-19 symptoms.

Medical conditions
If you have an existing Medical Condition of which the Organisers should be aware, please complete a Medical Form which can be downloaded from the British Orienteering website and hand in at Download/Enquiries in a sealed envelope marked with your name and "Confidential Medical Form for GO event 18/05/25 only". This will be opened only if you require medical treatment and are not conscious. It will be destroyed at the end of the event.

Ash Dieback precautions
In accordance with British Orienteering guidelines please make sure your kit has been cleaned following use at previous events.
