Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Training are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Overview

This aim of this training session is to compare routes taking paths with using a compass to go direct.

In addition there will be one or two simpler courses for those that want an introduction to orienteering

Meet main car park (next to the Roman Temple), Farley Heath Road, wat3words: printouts.sweeping.quintet.

The base will be at the Hurtwood car park number 15 (///bikers.rejoined.tribal) which is about 500m from the Roman Temple car park.

Entry Details

Free for members of GO and Mole Valley. £4 for non- members.
