ORGANISER'S COMMENTS

Being my first attempt at organising an Orienteering event I would like to express my sincerest thanks to GO members who kindly gave me their unstinting support in helping me achieve what seemed to be a successful event. Some of the members gave over and above, namely, and in no specific order, Alastair Doyle, Jeremy Wilde, Neil Harwood and Christine Kiddier, thank you very much.

Thanks must also go to Gervase Laws who kindly let us use his field to park in. What a great view. Forestry Enterprise for letting us use the area, however it would have been better if they hadn't also allowed a local motorcycling club to use the same area, a slight conflict!! Mr and Mrs Smith, and the Heath Trust Trustees (the two landowners) for letting us use their land.

The courses set by Neil Harwood provoked various comments, none of which suggesting they were easy. Testing, seemed to be the consensus of opinion. The weather did its bit to ensure everything went well, with the only glitch being that a nameless person from CROC decided not to download prior to leaving the event, causing some consternation. Was eventually tracked down having a cup of tea at somebody's house, I feel they should have known better.
