2/3/2019 – Farley Heath Temple Trot

Guildford Orienteers present a Level D event at Farley Heath and Blackheath on Saturday 2nd March 2019

The area is very runnable at this time of year and consists of open heathland with some heather and low bracken, open deciduous forest and coniferous plantations. There will be four courses, as below. You can email the organiser (organiser at guildfordorienteers.co.uk) to reserve a map and pay on the day or you can enter online on Fabian4 up till 26 February (after that you must email the organiser or just turn up on the day and we hope there will be a map for you).

Yellow

2.2 km

Easy, all controls within sight of paths. Suitable for beginners. Help and advice will be available for newcomers.

Orange

3.1 km

More challenging. Some compass work needed.

Green

5.0 km

For experienced orienteers

Blue

6.4 km

For experienced orienteers

Parking – will be at the Roman Temple Car Park (Hurtwood Car Park 8), Farley Heath Road, Guildford GU5 9EW

Facilities – few! There will be First Aid but NO TOILETS.

Registration and Starts from 10:00 to 12:00. Courses close at 14:00. Registration, start and finish will all be within 100m of the car park.

Entry fees -  Seniors £6 on Blue and Green courses, £4 on Orange and Yellow (full-time students £4 on all courses). Juniors £3 on all courses. SI Dibber hire £1. (Not SIAC)
